Privacy

We are a small farm, not a data business. We collect the least we can get away with, we do not sell any of it, and you can have it deleted by asking.

The short version

• Give us your email and we keep your email. Nothing else.
• Book a picnic or a session and we keep what you typed on the form, so we know who is coming and when.
• We do not sell, rent or share any of it with anybody for their own use.
• There are no advertising trackers on this site and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
• We will not text you. We do not ask for your phone number for marketing and we would not use it that way if we had it.

The email list

If you sign up we store your email address, which page you signed up on, the date, and the exact sentence you agreed to. That is the whole record. We keep it until you ask to leave, and every email we send has a link that takes you off it without having to ask anybody.

We use it a few times a year, for the farm's own news. We do not send anybody else's.

Bookings

Booking a picnic, a photo session or a shoot stores your name, email address, phone number, what you booked, the date and time, and anything you typed in the notes. We need the phone number because plans change on a farm and a text about the weather is faster than an email — that is the only thing it is used for, and it is not added to any list.

Bookings are deleted automatically ninety days after the date you booked.

What we do not collect

No accounts, no passwords, no payment card details — we have never handled a card number on this site and do not intend to. No location tracking. No advertising or social media pixels. Nothing about your health, and we would ask you not to tell us: if you have an allergy, tell us in person on the day rather than typing it into a form.

Cookies

One, and it is not for you. There is a single cookie called whf_stand that keeps the farm signed in to the page where we write up the stand board. If you have never logged in to that page, this site has set no cookies on your device at all.

How we count visitors

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies, without fingerprinting, and without following anybody between sites. It tells us that a page was viewed and roughly where in the world from. It cannot tell us who you are and neither can we.

Who else touches it

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the email list and bookings.
• Mailgun sends the mail. They see the address a message goes to.

Both are companies we pay to do a job. Neither is allowed to use any of it for their own purposes, and we do not give your details to anybody else.

Getting your data, or getting rid of it

Email [email protected] or call (720) 751-1657 and ask. We will tell you what we hold and delete it if you want, and we will not make you explain why. There is no form and no account to log into. Realistically it is one person checking, so give us a few days.

Children

Nothing here is aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything about them. Children are very welcome at the farm; the website just is not for them.

If this changes

We will change this page and change the date on it. If we ever start doing something materially different with your email address, we will say so in an email before we do it, not afterwards.
